Part II of LA trip – Santa Monica Beach

Here is the second episode of our Los Angeles Trip.

After the LA City Tour, they dropped us back to the hotel by 4 o clock. So we headed to Santa Monica Beach, which is almost an hour drive from the city in the evening traffic. The beach is huge and beautiful. There are designated areas for playing beach Volley ball and people were playing with full josh 🙂 People swim, run, walk and kids are in their own world building sand castles. There were families picnicing. Lifeguards are on duty and pay attention

We walked towards the Santa Monica Pier through the walkway. Santa Monica Pier was built in 1909. From the Pier, we get awesome views of iconic California coastline.

The Pier is brimming with vendors, local artists, amusements, eating places, souvenir shops etc. We get bicycles on rent and you can ride along the 22 mile paved walkway.

We enjoyed the sunset from the Pier and walked back.  The colours of the sky was just remarkable.

The time spent at the beach was relaxing. We drove back to the hotel, all excited to hit Universal Studios the next day.
